EV Level 2 charging station grants

Charging at a Level 2 charging station for electric VehiclesMPCA solicited applications for $170,000 in grants to help fund the purchase and installation of dual-port electric vehicle (EV) Level 2 charging stations in public places and workplace locations. Level 2 charging stations are ideally placed where drivers will be parked for at least 30 minutes, such as retail, restaurants, workplaces, or government buildings.

This grant incorporated an incentive to promote EV charging with clean, renewable energy. Applications will get extra points if the project adds power from a new solar array. The more solar added, the more points awarded.
