You are invited to the third in a series of public forums by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. State scientists are developing mercury reduction goals in the St. Louis River Watershed. At these public forums, learn how a “total maximum daily load” study is done. Your feedback may influence the final document.
MPCA researchers will talk about how much mercury is present in local bodies of water and fish. Participants also will learn about the St. Louis River Area of Concern, contaminated sediment, cleanup efforts, and fish-tissue monitoring. We will end with time for questions and discussion. Snacks will be provided.
