Superfund sites in Minnesota are listed on the Minnesota Permanent List of Priorities (PLP) primarily in order to access funding when responsible parties are unwilling or unable to conduct the necessary site investigation and cleanup. Sites on the PLP are in various stages of remediation; sites may need investigation and cleanup or cleanup is underway, or cleanup has been completed and long-term monitoring or maintenance continues.
