About me. I am a Minnesotan, born and raised in the metro area. I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Global Studies with an emphasis on Environmental and Developmental Sustainability. I love spending time outdoors and especially enjoy hiking, camping, and kayaking.
About my service. I am a Green Infrastructure member serving with the City of St. Paul in the Department of Parks and Recreation, Urban Forestry Division. Much of my service focuses on environmental education and community outreach throughout the city. One of my main projects involves educating High School students on the importance and significance of carbon, carbon dioxide, trees, and environmental action steps and careers.
Why I serve. I am passionate about both people and the environment and wanted to serve in a position that connected both. When I heard out about the MN GreenCorps I knew I had found an opportunity that would allow me to pursue both of these interests while further developing my professional skills.
My favorite place to visit in Minnesota. I can’t choose a specific favorite as I like most everywhere but in general I love the North Shore and North Woods, especially in the fall!
