More information
Green chemistry and design represent a high-level commitment to pollution prevention. It's more common for product makers to reduce pollution in the manufacturing process than to redesign the products themselves. But the product design stage is critical to reducing a product's environmental impact.
Companies want scientists that know how to design chemistry to be more environmentally friendly. Rather than needing to be a fixer of problems, chemistry can be a way to not have problems in the first place.
