Wastewater Class C and D math webinar

Math webinars are offered as a refresher to help wastewater operators prepare for solving math problems associated with Class C and Class D job descriptions. This webinar will cover essential math skills including how to convert units of measure and the order of operations. The webinar provides opportunities to practice solving common math problems and attendees will work through solving math problems step-by-step with guidance from instructors. Math problems include pond discharge math, pump calibration, geometric mean, converting units, using common formulas, percent removal, loading, detention time, and calculating volume, area, velocity, and perimeter. The Class C math portion will also include solving basic algebra problems, recirculation ratio, pumping rate, and food to mass calculations.

  • Both C/D: Tuesday, Aug. 10, 9 a.m.-noon
  • Class D only: Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1-3 p.m.
  • Class C only: Wednesday, Aug. 11, 9-11 a.m.

Math webinars are not offered to rehearse or memorize how to answer wastewater exam questions, and they do not provide attendees with correct answers for specific exam questions.
