Mesabi Metallics Company, LLC is proposing to operate a mine, taconite processing facility, and tailings basin located in Nashwauk, Minnesota. Activities at this facility will include open-pit taconite mining, crushing, concentrating, pelletizing, direct iron reduction, and tailings disposal.
Permits that will be discussed at this public meeting include the NPDES/SDS permit, the Part 70 air permit, and the 401 water quality certification.
