Air toxics rulemaking informational meeting

The MPCA is planning to adopt new rules to implement and govern regulation of facilities that emit air toxics in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, or Washington County. This is the first time Minnesota has been directed to develop and implement air toxics laws, which is expected to improve air quality throughout the Twin Cities Metro. We are eager to hear from the public on this rule project.

As part of the early stages of developing the rules, MPCA is hosting a virtual informational meeting on February 13 at 6 p.m. At this meeting you are invited to provide feedback after a short overview of the statute.

You can find more information on this rule and the rulemaking process on MPCA’s Air Toxics Regulations webpage.
