Fine particle study results: North Minneapolis 2013-2014

The MPCA measured fine particle (PM2.5) pollution at the Lowry Avenue site from January 1, 2013 – December 31, 2014. Fine particle levels measured in North Minneapolis are below all federal air quality standards and closely match fine particle concentrations measured at other Twin Cities monitoring sites on the majority of days. On a number of days fine particle concentrations at the Lowry Avenue site were elevated compared to other Twin Cities area monitoring sites. This suggests that a local source may be contributing to elevated PM2.5 concentrations on some monitoring days.
