About me. I grew up in Wisconsin and moved here in September, after spending the last few years going to school and then working in Madison, Wis. As a student, I studied psychology, and became really interested in the way that human behavior intersects with sustainability and conservation efforts. In my free time, I love exploring the Twin Cities on bike and going rock climbing.
About my service. I am serving as a Green Transportation member with the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota. In this role, I am working on the Bikeable Community Workshop program, and will be coordinating workshops across the state for communities who are taking part in efforts to become more bike friendly. I am also creating a network of people who are working to make their college and university campuses more bikeable.
Why I serve. I’m excited to serve with MN GreenCorps because it is an opportunity to get involved with the bike, transportation, health, and sustainability programs across the state. I feel very lucky to be serving with the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota, which prioritizes making biking safe, easy, and fun for all people in Minnesota, as well as having the chance to work with other individuals in government agencies, non-profits, and communities in the state who believe in making equitable and accessible green transportation a priority.
My favorite place to visit in Minnesota. Lake Superior!
