About me. I moved to Minnesota for school in 2012 from St. Louis, Mo. I graduated from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities with a B.S. in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management in the winter of 2016. During my time at college, I fell in love with Minnesota and am thrilled to have an opportunity to give back while serving in the city of Pine City.
About my service. Serving with Pine City has given me valuable insights to the workings of local government and the entities that it works in conjunction with. I’m helping benchmark energy usage in their municipal buildings, develop ways to integrate solar power in the community, and bring in funding to help build more sidewalks so youth can walk and/or bike to school.
Why I serve. Minnesota has given me so much since I came here in 2012 for school and I felt the need to give back. Serving with small town local government gives me the privilege to see the direct impact my projects have. It’s a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and grow my professional network.
My favorite place to visit in Minnesota. I love being in the Twin Cities. They offer so many opportunities to learn and recreate.
