2016 GreenCorps member Liz OverboAbout me. I was born and raised in Fargo, ND. During high school I was involved in a student environmental club as well as challenged myself with classes like A.P. Physics, which heavily influenced my college path. I recently received my Bachelors of Science in sustainability with an emphasis in energy and minors in physics and geoscience from Minnesota State University - Moorhead.

About my service. I am serving at the Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial School District focusing on energy conservation and efficiency. I spend most of my day collecting, analyzing and interpreting data for energy conservation efforts. I also help develop educational tools for staff and students for a variety of environmental topics.

Why I serve. I admire the pairing of professionalism, community outreach and service GreenCorps provides. I am passionate about sharing my love for physics and the environment as well as eager to have a helping hand in energy conservation and efficiency at my host site.

My favorite place in Minnesota. I am really enjoying the variety of parks near my host site. I love to hike and camp and enjoy exploring the diverse ecosystems Minnesota has to offer.
