The MPCA will hold a public information session from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday, July 7, 2026, to review the ongoing sulfate natural background study.
The study will review available sulfate data to estimate regional natural background values. In conducting the study, the MPCA intends to improve understanding of what is driving patterns in sulfate concentrations across the state.
