Smart Salting: Roads certification training (private)

Participants will learn how to integrate science with practical winter maintenance while minimizing impacts on the environment.

  • Audience: city, county, or state winter maintenance professionals
  • Upon completion of training and passing the test issued at the end of training, you will earn a Smart Salting certification that expires 5 years from the date of training.

Registration information

This is a private training hosted and paid for by the city of Minneapolis in partnership with the MPCA chloride reduction program. Private trainings are not open to the public.

Global: Host a Smart Salting event

Host a training or workshop. The Smart Salting training program is rooted in partnerships with local organizations to host trainings. Host responsibilities include advertising the training, providing a venue if hosting an in-person training, and paying the training fee.
