Smart Salting: Roads certification training (private)

Participants will learn how to integrate science with practical winter maintenance while minimizing impacts on the environment.

  • Audience: city, county, or state winter maintenance professionals
  • Upon completion of training and passing the test issued at the end of training, you will earn a Smart Salting certification that expires 5 years from the date of training.

Registration information

This is a private training hosted and paid for by the Central Minnesota Water Education Alliance (CMWEA) in partnership with the MPCA chloride reduction program. Private trainings are not open to the public.

Global: Host a Smart Salting event

Host a training or workshop. The Smart Salting training program is rooted in partnerships with local organizations to host trainings. Host responsibilities include advertising the training, providing a venue if hosting an in-person training, and paying the training fee.
