The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) will host a community meeting starting at 6 p.m. on June 24, 2025, to share information about recent lead emissions from Gopher Resource, a battery recycling facility in Eagan. While the cause of the elevated lead emissions has been resolved, representatives of the MPCA, Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), and Dakota County Environment and Health will be present to answer questions about lead levels from the Gopher Resource site.
