General Waste, a Dem-Con Company, proposes to convert two cells of its existing industrial solid waste landfill to accept less than 100,000 cubic yards of municipal solid waste per year.
The MPCA will host a public meeting for community members starting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, to discuss the project in detail.
There will be an open house and brief presentation on the project's environmental assessment worksheet (EAW) and draft solid waste permit, both of which are currently open for public comment.
Representatives from the MPCA and General Waste Landfill will be present to answer any questions.
