About me. I am a native of Minneapolis, and just recently moved back after living two years in Kellogg, Minn., and working as an engineering technician for the Wabasha SWCD. I received my degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Minnesota - Duluth.
About my service. I am serving in the Stormwater track at Washington Conservation District. My main tasks here are to create a maintenance program for our structural BMPs throughout the county and to assist with and participate in the Master Water Stewards Program.
Why I serve. I have always had a passion for conservation, but most of my past experience has been in agricultural environments. I took this position with Minnesota GreenCorps to broaden my range of experience and to gain more knowledge about urban conservation practices.
My favorite place to visit in Minnesota. As a native of Minneapolis, I have always loved the Twin Cities and the way that the urban setting melds with the natural environment. However, while attending school in Duluth, I discovered a love for the scenic rock outcroppings of Lake Superior and the coniferous forests of the North Shore.
