County Feedlot Program
The County feedlot program is a cooperative arrangement between the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and county government to administer Minnesota's feedlot rule. This cooperative program is known as "county delegation" or the "county feedlot program." County feedlot programs are responsible for the implementation of feedlot rules and regulations in 55 Minnesota counties including most of the major feedlot counties.
There are about 25,000 feedlots on record in Minnesota required to be registered. A map showing the number of registered feedlots by county is available below:

The MPCA has staff assigned to each county to provide feedlot assistance. A map showing MPCA staff by county is available below. Please note that this map only shows permit/compliance staff. Each regional unit also includes staff who do permitting, compliance, enforcement, monitoring engineering, and county delegation efforts.
