There is one reach in the Pomme de Terre River Watershed that is impaired for turbidity. The reach is located in the lower portion of the Pomme de Terre River from Muddy Creek to Marsh Lake. This reach was listed in 2002. The work completed within the watershed is sponsored by the Pomme de Terre Joint Powers Board.
Map and location
The Pomme de Terre River is located in the Minnesota River Basin, in west central Minnesota. The river originates in southern Otter Tail County and flows south to discharge into Marsh Lake in Swift County. The watershed is located in parts of Otter Tail, Grant, Douglas, Stevens, Big Stone, and Swift counties.
