The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has issued an air quality alert for north central and northeast Minnesota. The alert takes effect at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, and runs until 1 a.m. on Friday, July 18. Air quality is expected to reach the orange AQI category which is unhealthy for sensitive groups.
