St. Paul, Minn. — ReUSE Minnesota will add new dimension to the MPCA’s on-going Reduce, Reuse, Recycle feature at the Eco Experience building, featuring a multipurpose workspace comprised of reuse and re-purposed items, hands-on projects, and daily demonstrations of do-it-yourself reuse projects and repair techniques.

- Take a picture in the selfie station at the Minnesota State Fair's Eco Experience and post your photo on Instagram.
- Follow (If you don’t already) and mention @mnpca and @thriftstylist in your post.
- In the caption, tell us why you choose to reuse.
- Use the tag #IChooseToReuse AND #EcoExperience15.
- Make sure your Instagram is public so we can see your post.

The ReUSE room features 12 days of demos on a variety of topics, from wood finishing to t-shirt transformations.
Daily schedule: 10 a.m.-noon, 12:30-2:30 p.m., 3-5 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 27: South Minneapolis artist Jonie Mathews will be sharing her work on the third in a series of pieces which reclaim aluminum cans found in her local watershed area.
Friday, Aug. 28: Josh Burbel, owner of Woodsman Floors will discuss how his company reclaims, reuses and restores hardwood floors. Visitors have the opportunity to experience wood finishing with a small take away project.
Saturday, Aug. 29: T-shirt transformation! Turn an old t-shirt into a reusable grocery bag and help make a dent in the 500 tons of plastic bags and packaging Minnesotans throw away EVERY day.
Sunday, Aug. 30: What do you get when you combine a gallon of milk with a light bulb? Heather Cole of Designhmc will share her work transforming everyday discarded plastics into functional light shades. In addition to demo times, she will also be presenting at 5 p.m. on the Sustainability Stage.
Monday, Aug. 31: REPAIR LAIR owner Nancy Ford will demonstrate outdoor gear and clothing repair. As her website proclaims, “All Your Broken Bits Ain’t Gonna Fix Themselves.”
Tuesday, Sept. 1: Tech Dump will help fairgoers understand the computer refurbish and recycling process.
Wednesday, Sept. 2: A Greener Read will host a hands-on bookmaking activity for visitors of all ages. Fairgoers will also have the chance to drop off unwanted books, DVDs, video games and CDs.
Thursday, Sept. 3: Learn about bicycle repair from Michael Warns of Mr. Michael Repairs Bicycles.
Friday, Sept. 4: Learn to give it a new look with upholstery and faux painting demonstrations by Eclectic 887.
Saturday, Sept. 5: T-shirt transformation! Turn an old t-shirt into a reusable grocery bag and help make a dent in the 500 tons of plastic bags and packaging Minnesotans throw away EVERY day.

Monday, Sept. 7: Bridging volunteers show how they repair items donated to Bridging making the pieces ready for new owners at noon. T-shirt transformation! Turn an old t-shirt into a reusable grocery bag and help reduce the number of plastic bags discarded every day! Fair-goers are invited to bring an old t-shirt (or select one donated by ARC Value Village) to upcycle into a reusable shopping bag at 12:30, 3 and 5:30 p.m.
