Smart Salting: Local leaders workshop

This workshop helps local leaders understand the impacts of chloride on infrastructure and water resources and provide them with resources and specific action steps to make policy changes in their communities to reduce salt pollution.

This workshop is designed for city council members, board members, state legislators, and other individuals who are not directly involved in road salt application or water softener use but could benefit from learning about the advantages of Smart Salting.

This training is hosted by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Coastal Program and the MPCA Chloride Reduction Program.

Funding is provided by MPCA through the Clean Water Fund and the Environmental and Natural Resources Trust Fund.
