Renewables. Solar specialists will be on hand to help determine how you can get your power from solar. The Minnesota Solar App, a LIDAR geomapping tool created by the University of Minnesota, will be set up to pinpoint your property and tell if your location is suitable for a solar energy system.

Electric vehicles

Tesla Model 3Electric vehicles are in the Home Energy area this year. We’re emphasizing that you can really green your ride by powering your EV with solar.

Check out a couple new vehicles: The 2018 Nissan Leaf now has a longer range of 150 miles on a single charge. The Tesla Model 3 fully charges in 75 minutes at a Supercharging station for 220 miles of use.

Minnesota Plug-In Vehicle Owners’ Circle provides a forum for Minnesota owners of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles to connect, share their experiences and learn more about PEV-related topics.
