Electric utilities and the environment

The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) requires electric utilities to disclose environmental information about electricity generation to their customers. The information in the environmental disclosures is intended to assist the public in understanding the impacts of electricity use. The utilities post the information on their websites and send disclosures with customer bills.
