Greater Minnesota recycling and composting grant FY20

EA grant funding for projects that improve recycling and composting in Greater MinnesotaThe Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has approximately $1 million available for grant projects that focus on best practices for recycling or composting collection systems.

Eligible applicants are political subdivisions in Minnesota outside the Twin Cities seven-county metropolitan area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington County). Multi-organizational collaboration is encouraged. If the applicant is a city, the city’s population must be less than 45,000.

  • Total funds: Approximately $1 million
  • Awards: Maximum $250,000; minimum $150,000
  • Match requirement: 25% (applicants must provide at least 25% match)
