• Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act Program oversees planning for hazardous materials emergencies. As part of the state Department of Public Safety, they collect and compile pollution prevention progress report data with the Toxic Release Inventory. General phone number: 651-201-7400.
  
• Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) provides information and assistance on environmental issues, including use of pollution prevention practices to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations involving air quality, surface and groundwater, and solid and hazardous waste. • Minnesota Technical Assistance Program (MnTAP) is a free, nonregulatory program that helps Minnesota manufacturers and industry save money by finding alternatives using hazardous materials. General phone number: 612-624-1300 or 800-247-0015 toll free.

• Minnesota Waste Wise is a non-profit assistance program of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. It is designed to help businesses develop effective waste reduction and recycling programs and find new markets for waste materials. • WasteWi$e is a free, voluntary program of the US EPA, through which organizations eliminate costly municipal solid waste, benefitting their bottom line and the environment. WasteWi$e is a flexible program that allows partners to design their own solid waste reduction programs tailored to their needs.
