  • Air Quality Data
access air monitoring and emissions data using the following searches: ambient monitoring stations, point sources of pollution, geographic location, information on specific pollutants.
  • Air Toxics Facility Actual Emissions
MPCA's air toxics emission inventory covers 109 toxic air pollutants: 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), 80 non-metal chemicals (excluding PAHs), and 13 metal compounds. It also includes emissions from three principal source categories: point, area, and mobile sources.
  • Criteria Air Pollutant Emissions in Minnesota
The Criteria Air Pollutant Emissions Inventory tracks the actual point source pollutant emissions of facilities in Minnesota to determine the type and quantity of pollutants being emitted into the atmosphere. The data is then used to calculate an annual emission fee for each facility.

Waste

  • EPA ID Number
The EPA (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency) ID (identification) number database provides information about registered hazardous waste generators and transporters in Minnesota. The database includes site information such as name and location as well as status of their number and what generator size they are, if applicable. The database can be searched by EPA ID number, company name, city, zip code, and county. Hazardous waste generators and transporters may use the database to verify their own company information. You can also search for information about one company or identify all companies within a city or county.
  • Hazardous Waste Manifests
Manifest reports list data submitted by companies (generators) and treatment facilities (TSD). The report is a useful tool for showing compliance of individual companies based on the types of wastes they ship and what they report in their annual reports. It also shows the frequency of shipments and whether or not the company or facility has submitted manifests to the appropriate authorities.
  • Leaking Underground Storage Tank Sites
This is searchable database provides basic site information where a petroleum product leak has occurred from a storage tank (leak site) and has been reported to the MPCA.
  • Superfund Site Information. The MPCA has prepared the following database which allows you to search for a specific Superfund site. The database gives some basic information about the site. The basic information includes the site name, status, ID #, address, facility type, size (acres), and types of reports conducted. Additionally, other information that can be found includes the county and MPCA region that the site is located in. Also, the site information indicates whether or not the site is on the state or federal Superfund list (PLP and NPL, respectively). You can learn more information about the site by contacting the site contact listed. The site contact information provides an e-mail and phone number for MPCA staff involved with the site.
  • Voluntary Investigation and Cleanup SitesThis database allows you to search for a specific VIC site and provides some basic information about that site.
  • What's In My Neighborhood
Visitors can use an interactive map or a text-based search to locate sites or properties that have been investigated and/or cleaned up through MPCA programs.
