The public comment period ends June 15.

For the 34th consecutive year, the MPCA presented awards to operators of facilities that had perfect compliance records during the previous year.

Applications for host sites are due May 5, and applications for AmeriCorps members are due May 26, 2011.

The violations occurred from the time the facility began operations in 2009.

The MPCA has placed sections of these rivers on the state’s impaired waters list for exceeding the water quality standard for fecal coliform bacteria.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is seeking comments on a draft air emissions permit for the Metro Transit Light Rail O&M Facility, located at 1810 E. Franklin Ave. in Minneapolis.

In March, the MPCA completed funding $1.53 million for 282 approved projects that reduce diesel engine air pollution through a federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant.
