The conference is open to the public.  Advance registrations will be accepted through March 25.

The violations occurred at Tulenchik’s beef and dairy facilities in Cass County.

The alleged violations of water quality and hazardous waste laws and rules were at PM Beef Holdings’ meat-processing plant in Windom.

In January 2009, public complaints prompted an inspection that revealed malfunctioning emissions control equipment, resulting in the release of large amounts of dust and particles. 

Updating a previous permit, the 2011-2016 NPDES general permit combines federal and state provisions for large Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations and Minnesota rules and statutes. 

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency completed 47 enforcement cases in 34 counties in the fourth quarter of 2010.

Public comment now will close on February 18th.

Bustad Rolloff and Excavation of Austin, a company that provides garbage-collection services, has agreed to pay a $10,000 penalty to the MPCA for alleged violations of solid waste regulations.

The new location is on the second floor of the Lyon County Public Works Building, 504 Fairgrounds Road.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will accept comments through Feb. 17, 2011.

The feedlot is located east of Menahga, in northern Wadena County’s Shell River Township.

Comments must be in writing and accepted by 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 9, 2011.
