Stormwater Program for Industrial Activity: Steps to Compliance
Step 6: Apply, Modify, or Terminate Permit Coverage/No Exposure Certification
How do I apply for the Industrial Stormwater Permit or certify No Exposure?
You know you need a permit, you have assessed your facility for pollutants, you have gathered the necessary materials before applying, and you have created your SWPPP. You are ready to apply for the Industrial Stormwater Permit or certify for No Exposure!
The final Industrial Stormwater Multi-Sector General Permit (MN R050000) has been issued. Apply for permit coverage or certify for No Exposure by applying online or using the paper application form in the table below.
Apply online for both the Industrial Stormwater Permit and for No Exposure!
Helpful Hints when applying:
- Since 1988, has your industrial activities’ acreage increased by more than 90 acres? You may not be able to qualify for this permit. Contact the Stormwater Hotline (651-757-2119 or 800-657-3804) with questions.
- If applying for permit coverage or No Exposure, fill out all of the necessary questions; do not leave any fields blank. Please call if you have a question.
- No Exposure Certifiers also have to reapply if they haven’t done so since the permit became effective on April 5, 2010. See Step 2 for information about No Exposure.
