TMDL Project: Sauk River Horseshoe Chain of Lakes - Excessive Nutrients

Background

This project addresses the excessive nutrient impairment of the Sauk River Chain of Lakes, a reservoir system of 14 lakes and bay like lakes along the Sauk River.  The Sauk River Watershed District (SRWD) will assist the MPCA with the TMDL study. 

Map and location

Sauk River Horseshoe Chain of Lakes is located in the Sauk River watershed, which lies in the south central portion of the Upper Mississippi River Basin.
