Minnesota's Impaired Waters and TMDLs

TMDL Project: Little Rock Creek - Biota

Background

This project addresses the one impairment for Biota from the headwaters of Little Rock Creek to the confluence of the Mississippi River.  Benton County Soil and Water Conservation District is the lead for this project.   

Map and location

Little Rock Creek is located in the Mississippi River- Sartell watershed, which lies in the southeastern portion of the Upper Mississippi basin.

TMDL report and implementation plan

  • TMDL currently in development. 
  • The Stressor ID Phase was completed September 30, 2009
  • Phase III consisting of modeling, load allocations and implementation plan development will be underway soon.
