Minnesota's Impaired Waters and TMDLs

TMDL Project: Lake Margaret - Excess Nutrients

Background

This project addresses a nutrient impairment in Lake Margaret. The city of Lakeshore and the Lake Margaret Lake Association are actively involved in development of this TMDL. The TMDL project is currently underway, with a Phase III final report planned for summer of 2008.

Map and location

Lake Margaret is located in the Crow Wing River watershed, which lies in the central portion of Upper Mississippi Basin.
