  • Groundwater Sampling Guidance
Groundwater sampling is used for measuring the quality of groundwater. The sampling guidance documents help define the procedures for collecting and handling samples from both monitoring wells and water-supply wells.
  • PDF DocumentMinnesota's Groundwater Condition: A Statewide View (September 2007)
One of the goals in the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) 2006 Strategic Plan is to “assess the status or condition of Minnesota’s groundwater systems” as part of the overall vision calling for “clean and sustainable surface and groundwater systems.” Accordingly, this report was prepared to provide MPCA managers and others with information about the condition of Minnesota’s groundwater and Minnesota’s progress in implementing groundwater condition monitoring. This report refers to “condition” primarily as groundwater quality, since the MPCA’s mission is to monitor and protect groundwater quality. However, groundwater quantity is discussed on a limited basis.
