Petroleum Remediation Program - Field Work Notification

Effective July 1, 2007, the Petroleum Remediation Program (PRP) requires all consultants and contractor to notify the MPCA prior to conducting field work at all petroleum sites that have been assigned a leak ID number.  PRP staff will conduct random audits of field work conducted at sites based on these notifications.  The PRP will also compare reports received and the field work notifications to ensure all consultants and contractors are submitting the required notifications.

An online Field Work Notification Form has been created to simplify the notifications process.  You must first register a valid e-mail address to gain access to the online form.  This helps prevent the form site from receiving SPAM and also allows us to provide you with a notification submittal receipt.  Below are the links to the registration page and the form login page:

Field work notifications provided by phone, fax, or e-mail will not be accepted.  The online notification form must be submitted at least 48 hours prior to the start of the site work.  If a change in the work schedule occurs after the notification has been submitted, please submit a new notification with the revised schedule.  You must ALSO call the staff person listed on the notification submittal receipt if any of the following occur:

  • A change in the work schedule is within 24 hours of the notification start time.
  • The scheduled work is canceled.

If you're unable to access the online Field Work Notification form or have questions, please contact the MPCA Online Services Portal administrator, Jan Lehner-Reil, 651-757-2091, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, or send an email to onlineservices.pca@state.mn.us  and describe your issue.

For questions regarding the PRP Field Audit Program, please contact the following staff based upon region of the leak site.
