Center for Global Environmental Education at Hamline University
Learn and play in the kids’ area with a photo booth, air hockey table, puzzles, and iPad game. You can become a “storm drain goalie” to protect your storm drain from pollutants and keep the waters flowing clean.
CenterPoint Energy
Get expert advice about saving energy and money through your heating, cooling, and ventilating system. A compressed natural gas vehicle will also be on display.
Minnesota Department of Commerce
Leading the home energy exhibit, find comprehensive information and hands-on exhibits about conservation, efficiency, and renewable energy options. This year’s new exhibits will help identify energy-saving actions for any home or apartment.
Field Outdoor Spaces
Just outside of the Eco Experience building, Field Outdoor spaces will showcase how a small space can be a beautiful place to live, entertain, and play as well as produce food for your family. The landscape design includes veggie gardens, strawbale gardens, bees, chickens, and vertical gardening. Daily demos at noon to teach DIY skills.
Minnesota Building Performance Association
Talk with experienced home auditors to help you consider all your options before starting a home improvement project. See a demonstration of an infrared camera, blower door and other energy efficiency testing options.
Minnesota Department of Health
Do you know where Minnesota drinking water comes from, or the differences between public and private supplies? Visit us in the water area to learn about Minnesota prescious resource and what you can do to keep water clean.
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency leads five exhibit areas in the Eco Experience.
- Dive into the water area and explore a watershed, get up close and personal with bugs and learn what they tell us about water quality.
- Speed into the air quality area to see electric vehicles--a Tesla Model S and a Ford C-MAX Energi. Then sign up for air quality alerts and discover more ways to improve the air we breathe.
- Swing into the climate change area to learn about climate change effects in Minnesota and how urban trees can help us slow and adapt to climate change.
- Duck into the reduce, reuse, recycle exhibit to see our display of 12,000 aluminum cans, comprehensive plastics recycling information, composting demos, and waste prevention information.
- Slip into the water conservation display to learn how to fix leaky toilets and other ways to save water.
Minnesota Renewable Energy Society
Indoor and outdoor exhibits are staffed by knowledgeable volunteers and highlight Minnesota companies. See how solar works in Minnesota.
Natural Built Home
A model bathroom will showcase recycled content and Minnesota-made interior design and finishes. See beautiful tile, paint, cabinets, fixtures, countertops, hardware, and flooring.

Renewing the Countryside
Learn about Farm to School programs and the benefits of Farm to School for school children, families, schools, farmers, and communities. Get inspired through cooking demonstrations led by popular local chefs, school food service professionals, and Whole Foods’ chef Ani. Thirty minute cooking demonstrations will take place on the Sustainability Stage at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm daily, with FREE recipes and samples for visitors following each demo.
ReUSE Minnesota
Through beautiful interior design and furniture ideas, ReUSE Minnesota will demonstrate the opportunities in our state to repair, share, and reuse everyday items.

Visit the front yard of the Eco Experience to learn all about alternative renewable energy options.
University of Minnesota Center for Sustainably Polymers
Green chemistry and engineering can lead to safer products, energy efficiency, use of renewable resources, and waste or pollution prevention. Have fun with games, see product examples, and hear University of Minnesota stories.

Metro TransitMinnesota Department of Transportation
Learn how to kick gas by using transit, carpools, bikes, and buses more often. Try loading a bike on to the front of a bus-bike rack, ask questions about regional transit plans, and learn how to check out a Nice Ride bike. Kids can make a bike wheel whirligig.
University of Minnesota College of Design4RM+ULA
Students from the University of Minnesota’s College of Design combined Generation Y lifestyle trends and sustainability principles to create a Gen Y Eco-House. It features small, flexible living spaces and a SuperWall solution–a main interior wall that contains all technology for living: electricity, plumbing, cooking, and furniture. The SuperWall includes folding furniture and sliding, folding and rotating walls that hide or expose kitchen, bathing, work, and entertainment spaces. The home also has an outdoor patio, solar PV panels, energy efficient appliances, recycled materials, graywater collection, and structural insulated panels (SIPS).
