Data and analysis of solid waste management activities in Minnesota that involved SCORE funding in CY 2007.

The state's total waste generation was 6.14 million tons (+0.8%), while state population increased 0.6%.
Per capita generation was essentially unchanged: 2,334 pounds of waste and recycleables for each Minnesota resident.
The state's SCORE recycling rate is 49.5%.
Statewide collection of recycleable materials totaled 2,586,398 tons (+47,113 tons).
After recycling, 3.56 million tons of waste remained for disposal: Landfills (60%) and waste-to-energy facilities (34%) handled most of it.
State and county spending on SCORE-related programs rose to $55.9 million (+$1.45 million).
