Northeastern Minnesota’s unique natural resources continue to stir the imagination and create a sense of awe and wonder in all who live and visit the area. These high-value natural resources are worth protecting.
This report provides an overview of past, current and future environmental conditions by media (land, water, and air). Organizing such a report is challenging because the earth’s ecosystem is made up of a complicated set of interconnecting systems. This report is designed to convey to the community what the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency does to address environmental problems with our many partners in our region.
Please take advantage of the report’s Web links and contact information to dig deeper into the issues presented and to become more involved in the process of environmental protection. We welcome input, data and ideas from those who share stewardship of the Arrowhead region with us.
