Brainerd, Minn. -- The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) invites the public to help kick off the Major Watershed Restoration and Protection project for the Long Prairie and Red Eye River watersheds on Tuesday, April 12, from 1-3:00 p.m.  The event will be held at the Prairie Event Center, 201 West Main St., in Parkers Prairie.

The project is part of the MPCA’s Watershed Approach, which targets water restoration and protection efforts based on Minnesota’s major watersheds.  The event will include presentations about the Watershed Approach, the Long Prairie and Red Eye River watersheds, project timelines, and information on how to get involved in the process.  There will also be an open house to view displays and speak directly to MPCA staff and other project partners.
