Participate in our kids decoder challenge while touring the Eco Experience to get a free Minnesota Banz.
Journey back in time with the Climate Time Machine, using data from NASA’s Jet propulsion laboratory you’ll discover how our climate has changed over time.
It may not be winter, but you can see, touch and feel a replica of an ice core. Ice cores contain tons of information about past climate conditions and is a key tool for climate research.
How deep do plant roots really grow? You’ll be sure to put on a funny face when you see how long some of the roots Minnesota native plants can get.
Take a stroll through Green Crossings, to find the latest green options for your home. From renewable and recycled products to energy efficiency, Green Crossings has it all. Experts will be on hand to answer your questions.
The Sustainability stage offers informative presentations and performances on a variety of topics to help you make healthier choices for you and your family. Parents can take a break in the Kids’ area while your kids explore their ecological impact through games and puzzles.
Each day we’ll have a different theme in the building. On August 29 it will be Go Green for Kids Day and on September 1 your child can learn all about Green Jobs.
Sample healthy local food at 10:30 a.m., noon, 2:00, 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Demos include samples - don't miss the best fare at the Fair.
About the Eco Experience: A partnership between the Minnesota State Fair, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and over 100 organizations and businesses across the state, the Eco Experience has become the second most popular exhibit at the fair. The Eco Experience is the largest environmental event of its kind in the country in the last two decades. Since 2006 almost 2 million visitors have attended the 25,000 square-foot exhibit to learn more about clean air and water, saving energy, climate change, recycling, healthy local food, transportation, green building and remodeling, and other ways to lead more eco-friendly lives.
