Saint Paul, Minn. - The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is accepting applications until May 27, 2008 for the Minnesota Environmental Education Advisory Board's (EEAB) July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2010 term.
The EEAB was created by the 1990 Environmental Education Act with a goal of promoting environmental literacy for all Minnesota citizens by advising the governor, the MPCA, as well as other state agencies and organizations. The EEAB also works on implementation of Minnesota's state plan for environmental education including review of programs and policies.
The board consists of 20 members from various state agencies, boards and the University of Minnesota. Also included is one member from each congressional district and three at-large citizens.
Qualifications include:
· Must be a resident of the Congressional District you apply for
· Knowledge of state and local environmental education efforts
· Knowledge of Minnesota's environmental education community, needs, strategies, and outcomes
