MPCA Hosts Air, Water and Waste Environmental Conference

Contact: Jennifer Groebner, 651-296-7706 St. Paul, Minn. - The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is inviting people to register for the 2007 Minnesota Air, Water and Waste Environmental Conference, to be held Feb. 27-Mar. 1 at the Sheraton Hotel in Bloomington. The conference is the state's largest environmental training event of the year, featuring a pre-conference training day and 10 subject tracks on air quality, demolition, emergency response, environmental innovation, hazardous waste, household hazardous waste, remediation, solid waste, energy and climate change, and water quality. There will be more than 70 break-out sessions, dozens of regional and national speakers, more than 90 exhibitors, and the annual Governor's Awards recognizing pollution prevention efforts. Keynote presentations will feature Aspen Skiing Company's Director of Environmental Affairs, Auden Schendler, and Wild Institute Director, Chris Heeter. Those who should consider attending include government employees (state, county, local levels), consultants, contractors, engineers, operators, educators, or other personnel in the environmental field.
