HOW TO GET THERE:"Getting to the Get-Together" information will be available online at http://www.mnstatefair.org during summer 2006. It Is Easy Being Green!
State Fair goers who stop in at the first ever Eco Experience will explore one of the most comprehensive exhibits of green products and services in the state of Minnesota, presented by the State Fair and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and with the support of green businesses and organizations from across the state. Walk through and see innovative concepts that you can use in your home now - as well as the latest in electric cars (ideal for parking in eco-garages). The Eco Experience includes the latest in hydrogen, solar and wind power. Sample the best in organic foods from the around region, learn how to start a rain garden and build a compost pile, and more. Looking for more eco inspiration? Stop by and listen to the words and wisdom of Arctic explorer Will Steger as he discusses his personal experiences, explorations and insights on global climate change. State Fair goers who explore the Eco Experience can enjoy a demonstration by Clancy, the only mercury-detecting dog in the country, and the antics and education of Tricia and the Toonies Enviro-Shows. Complete information and stage schedules will be announced in mid-July.
