Learning Resource Center Overview

The Learning Resource Center provides educational resources to Minnesotans interested in caring for the environment.

These resources are valuable for classroom teachers, non-formal educators, students, business green teams, government staff, non-profit staff, youth groups, community outreach groups, and faith groups.

There is no charge to use our collection. Fact sheets are available as hard copies (in limited quantities) or as free downloads. Banners, learning kits, and audiovisual materials may be checked out from the Resource Center on a short-term basis. Other materials, such as curricula, may be used on-site in the Resource Center.

If we don’t have the information you need, we may be able to help you find someone at MPCA who can answer your question. For help finding information about MPCA, you can submit an inquiry to our staff at Ask MPCA.

Special resources for young people may be found at our students’ page and our childrens’ page.

Library Overview

The MPCA Library’s primary mission is to meet the information needs of staff to enable the MPCA to fulfill its mission and goals. Our collection focuses on technical publications relating to pollution and other environmental issues. The library holds over 60,000 books, EPA documents, and MPCA reports, as well as 300+ periodical titles.

We are unable to check out items directly to the general public. However, visitors are welcome to use the collection in-house or borrow items via interlibrary loan. To arrange an interlibrary loan, consult your local library. You can search our online library catalog - PALS – to identify the publications you need.
